Pressure Auto Balance Function

Our partners at Komfovent have introduced the pressure auto balance function for the Verso Pro 2 range. 

​Based on recommendations by the REHVA on virus spread prevention, the pressure auto balance function minimises extract air transfer ratio to 0%, helpful when no cross-contamination is allowed.

​​How does it work?
The Komfovent Verso Pro 2 can now be supplied with the pressure auto balance function.  This includes an additional extract air damper that is mounted and a pressure sensor is installed.
​
The function between supply and extract airflows inside the air handling unit maintain constant pressure difference, by regulating the damper position.  It is done in a way that extract pressure (P2) is lower compared to supply pressure (P1), by preset value (for example -25Pa).  Therefore higher pressure is pushing additional supply air through a heat exchanger  or purge sector (if installed), ensuring that no contaminated extract air can return back to the premises.

Why You Should Add Air Curtains to Any Building Design

When opening doors to welcome customers into commercial buildings such as shopping centres, supermarkets, petrol stations, cafes, restaurants, or any other building that welcomes a large amounts of people, there is always going to be cross contamination and temperature transfer, which will affect your HVAC system performance.

Composite AHUs That Pass All The Tests For Laboratories

Sustainable protection of people and the environment is the main focus point when designing air treatment systems for laboratories. 

​The system has the task of creating a stable environment and a comfortable and healthy work environment for employees.  Specific ventilation requirements apply to each individual laboratory and depending on the BioSafety Levels (BSL) classified in NEN-EN 12 128, ventilation rates and filter classes are ranked. 
Supply of sufficient fresh air and the correct pressure differences per room or facility ensure that polluted air is removed and does not flow into the rest of the building. Our composite air handling units are suitable for the removal of contaminated air without the risk of corrosion.  With the corrosion class C5i/C5m, the high airtightness (L1) of the air handling units ensures minimal leakage from and to the room.

Does this ensure composite AHUs are energy efficient?
Yes.  To keep energy consumption as low as possible, the air supplied and extracted must be well coordinated with each other and with the process. Liberty Composite AHUs have the right operating systems available for this. These systems can communicate with the rest of the installation or the entire building management system.
 
Corrosion Resistance CX Extreme
  • Not only the casing, but also the internal partitions, support profile and even the foundation frame are made of corrosion resistant and lightweight composite as standard. (CX replaces C5i and C5m according to ISO 12944-2)
  • On request, components in the air handling unit can be supplied in composite, stainless steel 304, 316 or a protective epoxy coating
  • All fasteners are in stainless steel 304/316 (external/internal)

Bi-directional ventilation unit contamination air can be safely exhausted to the outside in this configuration without coming into contact with clean supply air.   Due to the twin coil heat recovery, the system becomes energy-efficient and in accordance with ERP requirements.

Euroclima Seismic Testing Certification

Our partners at Euroclima have engaged an independent and specialised laboratory to execute seismic testing for air handling unit and fan coil unit certification.

The test procedure includes, as specified by ICC ES AC156 (2007), both resonance search and seismic simulation tests referring to two different seismicity levels.


The results of the test showed that the Euroclima units withstood the earthquake test whilst maintaining performance, achieving the standards for certification.

The newly developed adiabatic cooler with direct connection to town water

Adiabatic cooling in air handling units is used to either cool the air or increase the humidity, with the main focus usually on the cooling function. Most adiabatic coolers on the market are usually operated with water from a built in tank, which is circulated by a pump.
​The newly developed adiabatic cooler from Euroclima is connected directly to the town water supply. This considerably reduces the requirement for service and maintenance, as the constant emptying and discharge of the storage tank and its manual cleaning is no longer necessary. 

​Further benefits are a three-sided inclined tank - which meets the VDI 6022 criteria - is installed ensuring no water remains standing and the tank is completely emptied after the humidifier is switched off.  The piping is designed in such a way ensuring that all water can be drained after the system is switched off. This achieves important hygienic aspects and is useful in preventing freezing of the pipework which can be dangerous.

The new adiabatic cooler nozzles emit a very fine spray and can operate at a pressure of between 2 to 10 bar.  A large number of nozzles are installed in this module, which significantly improves the efficiency of humidification via a very fine atomization.  The cooling can be controlled precisely via the inlet pressure ranging from 20 - 100% in control.  This is an ideal solution for operators seeking efficiency versus the investment costs of a high pressure humidifier or expensive water treatment.  This also achieves market driven demands for the hygienic aspects of operation with direct water with a reduced water consumption profile for the end user.
